Organic search is a process where Web users
find web sites through unpaid search engine listings, rather than
through paid advertisements displayed among search results. Organic
search returns results by indexing pages based on content and keyword
relevancy. This is in contrast to listings ranked based on who paid
the most money to appear at the top. Sometimes ‘organic’
is called ‘pure’ or ‘natural search’ as it
is not affected by commercial payments or bids.
